Gotu kola or Hydrocotyle- Asiatica , is colled Mamdukaparni inSanskrit and in Tamil it is known as Vallari.This leaf is used frequently in indigenous medicine and it is a diuretic and alternative. Gotu kola is said to improve the power of the memory. It is general tonic and relieves mental fatigue. It induces sound sleep. It can be taken regularly when person suffer from sinitis, Catarrh, Bronchitis, Diabetes, Epilepsy.
